Copies of Invoices?

Hi Lovely people,

Does anyone know if we need to keep our own copy of the invoice we give to parents and if yes do we need to get them signed or anything?

It depends on how you run your accounts and where else you keep a copy of how much parents owe you / when they have paid etc.

Some childminders find it useful to keep copies of everything for their accounts - others have different systems.

I keep a copy of invoices and when and how they were paid but I don't get parents to sign them.

You will need a record of payments received for the tax man but it's up to you how you record that information

All our invoices are generated on the computer and are automatically saved, so we do have copies.

I print of the invoice and I sign it, then it is given to the parent, they do not sign them.
