Hi,

Up until now I've only looked after under 2s and have daily diaries for them which include:

What I did today
Snacks / lunch / tea etc..
Nappy changes
Naps
Photos / observation
Parent comment

I've got a 3 year old and 6 year old starting in a couple of weeks and I wondered how you all set out your diaries for older children.

I don't do them for over 3's as the parents don't usually want one and the children can usually tell them what we have done.

If a parent wanted one I would do it but so far they have all asked me to stop once they got to about 2-3 years.

I ask the parents.

I still do diaries for older children because their parents have requested them... yet some younger ones have told me not to bother :D

send home at end of each week with area for parets comments and fingers crossed get it bk on mondays lol

we use a A4 file in the holidays for our over 5's to keep their pictures etc in
and the parents loved it at the end of the x6wk holls. we added photoes and zoo tickets, tram tickets etc gr8 to keep and they will bring bk at start of next holls too

Thank you for your idea, I like the idea of the scrapbooks - the children will enjoy putting them together themselves x
