Again I am not sure which section I should be posting this in. I was just wondering if anyone has ideas for shelter in the garden from sun and rain. I have a nice size garden, but there no shelter at all, no trees or nothing. I use a parasol and a little beach tent fo sunny days, but this only covers a small area and I would also like something that shelters from rain also. Any ideas:) ?

I have a couple of gazebos, the pop up kind and a cilds gazebo. They all have side on if I want so they are good in the sun and if its raining.

I was talking to my hubby yesterday about this, directly outside my door to my garden i have a patio area, then grass and at the top is bark with a trampoline on, my hubby said u can contact a company that fit a retractable shelter, it would be ideal for me, then when i start childminding we can play on the patio even when its raining and will give lots of shade in the sun too, if i find a good company i will post a link later

We us a pop up gazebo, great for wet and dry weather, and can be moved around. Would be lost without it.

Trine (and anyone else reading) don't worry about where you put things - best guess is fine. If the mods think a post is better somewhere else or might get more answers in a different section we will move it for you.

I have an awning and it is brilliant! It's not a pull out one because it wouldn't fit on my conservatory... it's a fixed one. You can see photos on my Knutsford Childminding (http://www.knutsfordchildminding.co.uk) website.

Hth :D

That looks perfect. Where did you buy that? The ones I have been looking at all have guylines ( is that what they are called?) and they worry me.

Just saw one with wide feet with holes in for anchoring. I also found weights to hold it in place. Is it possible to put it up just one person though?

Have a look at this site
http://www.popupgazebo.org.uk/

we got ours from this site, it is really good quality

you can put it up with one person, you just pull each side out a bit at a time

I have a retractable one, keeps room lovely and cool, but does not quite keep decking out of the full sun, but I think that has more to do with the angle it has been fitted at  www.primrose-awnings.co.uk
