Hello, I am very new to this yet so excited already! Hope to get to know you all well :D
I phoned my local council to say I want to start childminding, who then booked me on to the Intro to Homebased Childcare next wednesday.
Do I get all my OFSTED and CRB reg forms then?
Can I only childmind once the inspector has been or can I do it before?

Actually what would be easier is if someone has the time to bullet point everystep of the way for me as I really have no idea and no where is very clear and I am confused!:(

You will need to do a pre-registration course, wait for your CRB and medical checks and then Ofsted visit...

You can only start working when all the paperwork is done.

I just wanted to say good luck. I'm still pre-reg but nearly done now - just waiting for my pre-reg visit. I started everything in March and hope to have mindees in place ready for September so it takes a while! It gets clearer as you go through so hopefully you won't feel confused once you get going x
