I have been a foster carer for 11 years, and I really do need a change, does anyone on here have dogs, and what advice can you give about dogs and childminding. Also do you need a special room in the house to use purely for childminding?:)

I am in the pre reg stage, and yes you can have dogs, you just have to risk assess them, have a pet policy, and make sure they are never alone with the children. You have to decide the rooms you are registering for example I am only registering the downstairs in my house ( i have a downstairs toilet) so they are the rooms the inspector will check are safe.
