A Caution

can anyone give me some advise please? i have a caution (now 4 years old) that i received for smacking my son (reported to police by ex husband) and want to register as a childminder, will this go against me? son (who is now 12) and i have a brilliant relationship:blush:

thats something only OFSTED can answer fo youim afraid...theyll probably ask loads of questions etc etc...perhsps give them a tinkle

thanks for the info, i will give them a call tuesday, however i have worked with vunerable teens for the last 3 with it so i hope it doesnt

As Mookins says it's something only Ofsted can decide.

Because the caution was for something against a child they will look at it differently from the people who were deciding whether you are ok to care for vulnerable older children.

I hope it goes ok for you x
