Where do I start?

As things stand I have only got as far as deciding that childminding is what I want to do and thats it. I was just hoping someone could tell me where to start! Who do I need to speak to to get things moving and is there anything I need to do before that.

Sorry I know you have probably answered this question dozens of times in the past but am still trying to find my way round the forum.
