Well a pretend one anyway! Our childminding group are holding a royal wedding party and we're having a bride and groom and laying the tables out like a wedding reception for about 40-50 children!
All the children have made a crown for a competition, decorated a piece of bunting to join together and decorate the room and made a laminated placemat in our settings.
We're not having conventional wedding reception entertainment - we're having a treasure hunt in the garden, pass the parcel, four corners game with a wedding theme and musical bumps etc as we're all big kids and it's more fun than a disco!!
And my husband (who's a chef) has made the most fantastic wedding cake. I asked if he would ice a couple of sponges and place a bride and groom on the top and he has made a proper wedding cake with two tiers on pillars, threaded ribbon and flowers and the bride and groom on top!!
We're hoping to get some local press coverage and may submit a photo for Who Minds!
And to top it all off ... the weather is supposed to be gorgeous! :clapping:
I love my job!!
