With all this glorious sunshine the smears on my windows are really showing up

I don't think I've ever found a way of getting lovely sparkly windows without hours of rubbing & buffing.

Have you got any handy hints? I want something quick & easy, for inside & out

I have a window cleaner who comes ever 5 weeks and does inside & out.
If for any reason the windows need doing in between, I just use warm soapy water with a spash of vinegar in. I dry with a micro cloth and buff with some kitchen roll.

HTH

I use W5 glass cleaner (power foam) and I find it does the job brilliantly, without too much effort. I did all my windows with it at the weekend, and wonder now looking at all the hand prints on my lovely gleaming patio doors WHY I BOTHERED! nice while it lasted though LOL

weakish solution of warm water and washing up liquid and a window blade- not a cheapie one (out of a proper hardware store) - then buff with newspaper.

Green Mr Muscle spray and kitchen towel to wipe it off, it's not expensive either but it's the only thing I can get on with. Got the tip from a cleaning lady!

Window cleaner comes once a month and does outside. I use Method WindowCleaner on the inside when I have a spare 5 minutes (so hardly ever,..)

I use e cloths too and for everything around the house. Only chemicals we use are for toilets (bleach) and kitchen floor and worktops (dettol).

Best window cleaner for me, is: warm water, little of white vinegar and a couple of drops of washing up liquid, clean it with sponge and after with window squeeze rubber, if stil some drops of water in the window finish with old towel!!

For inside I use a damp flannel then dry with a tea towel
You don't get any smears and no chemicals either

i don't clean my windows  they never look dirty or smeared so i don't bother (i suspect it may be some kind of pilkington glass.)

I have a window cleaner once a month for the outsides but I clean the insides with windowlene and paper towels. It gets them really clean, it's the only thing I've found that works. I can't bear fingerprints on my windows it drives me crazy!

I keep seeing all this glass furniture like dining tables and bedside cabinets and can't understand how people can have it! I'd either not ever dare go near it or I'd be cleaning it (smearing it!) every five minutes - I just couldn't bear it! Ha!
