Help with a 6 year old please x

I have just started looking after a 6year old boy after school 3.20 till 8.15.

Please can you give me ideas on what I should/could be doing with him.

I have 3 boys of my own, aged 7, 4 and 1 and in his mum's own words she wants him to just come to mine to play, watch tv, chill out etc. Is this ok?

What observations - if any - do I need to do for him and do I need to plan set activities?

He just seems to want to play with my boys etc

Play is just fine... whatever your own children are doing is fine too.

As things stand at the moment once children leave the Eyfs age range (year 1 at school) you follow the Childcare Register requirements with them.

There is no mention of observations, assessments, planning etc in the Childcare Register.

There is a copy in free downloads at the top of the forum I suggest you have a read through so you can put your mind to rest :D
