Hi Guys,
I have been registered since Nov 10 but just got my first lo to care for.
I recall somewhere in the depths of my mind that I need to inform Ofsted when I start minding, is that right?
Many thanks x

I dont think you do, not unless you have had a call asking if you are minding and you werent at the time.
Otherwise they will contact you when its your turn for your inspection

No you don't have to inform them, but if you haven't done so already, you do need to inform the tax man that you've started working as a self employed person as you will need to start paying class 2 national insurance contributions.

Thanks guys x
I have called Tax man, its confusing as Childminding is just one of my 3 jobs. I declined the National Insurance bit as I pay on my other 2 jobs already.
