CAN I DO THIS?

Hi all,

Im new to childminding so would like some advice on a craft activity I would like to do throughout next week for Mothers Day :idea: but wonder whether it would be considered a good idea or not. I got the idea as one of my mother-in-law's mindees made one for her.

Basically it is to make coasters out of ceramic tiles. I would stick velvety material at the bottem of them to stop them scratching surfaces and then basically get the children to decorate them and then take them home to mum for mothers day.

Would the fact that the tiles are made from ceramic be considered dangerous by Ofsted do you think? Sorry if this is a stupid question - any help would be appreciated :blush:

We have done this in the past

Its a lovely idea

Make sure you supervise and RA and everything will be fine - sounds like you have everything in hand anyway

Thanks for the reply. With this sort of thing, when u say 'risk assess it', do you mean mentally or would i have to document it?
