I have just made a curry sauce and it is tasting very like tikka massala - i am impressed with myself. I am just waiting until later to add the fromage frais and then I think it might be extremely like it - its very nearly the same colour too - like in the restaurant! Yummy!!

Only downside is im on a green day so have to have quorn instead of actual proper meat - still, im just exited about the sauce!!

I might even take a picture of my dinner and let you all see lol

I made one like that, too. It was really nice. Mmmmm, might make another tonight. It would be good with SW chips, though and then be free on a green day. Or throw in some chicken for a Healthy B.

The curry was lovely.

Recipe was

2 heaped teaspoons garam massala
2 heaped teaspoons mild curry powder
3 garlic gloves (crushed)
1 tsp corriander
1/2 teaspoon tikka powder
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 carton passata
1 red onion (chopped)
1/2 pack of quorn chicken pieces.
3 tablespoons fat free fromage frais

Put passata in pot and bring to a simmer, add all ingredients (except the fromage frais) and simmer for 20 minutes. Then transfer to an oven dish add quorn to the sauce and bake for 35 minutes.

Just before serving add the fromage frais and mix well.

This was delicious.

I served it with the batchelors mushroom rice - was delish!!

Not difficult to make at all, and all totally free!!

Angel, the quorn pieces are not that different from met when done in a curry, just a bit softer but not too unlike real chiken. Good if you are having a green day and want to use a meat substitute
