How long between pre reg visit and getting certificate

Hi all

I have my pre reg ofsted visit on Thursday and assuming all is ok how long does it usually take to recieve your certificate

i have a parent waiting and she would ideally like me to start at the beginning of April, which only gives me about a week

did ask the inspector who is visiting me but got a very vague answer

My certificate only took a week from when i had my pre reg visit

A CM in our town's took almost 2 months...

I rang ofsted 2 days after my pre reg visit and explained I had mindee waiting - they signed it off & sent it out that day and was with me 2 days later - so may be worth a call. Good luck with everything! :)

mine took about 6 weeks and came by registered post :-)

Blimey I really cant wait that long
I need to start earning more money soon
will definitely be nagging them , possibly on a daily basis until they get sick of me
I have everything else in place so cant see why there would be such a delay

Well she has left , was here just over 2 hours

she was lovely and it was very relaxed

she is recommended i be registered for 4 children
3 under 5 and one over
based on the size of my house , it is quite small:rolleyes:

she advised i call ofsted on monday, she will have written my report up by then
and they will pressure her company

hope to have certificate within a week

as far as i know( ofsted told me ) all my other checks are complete

When do you call NCMA for membership and insurance. Do you know how long this takes??

Im not going to join ncma

its not compulsory ....is it?

im getting my insurance through morton michel ?? sp and ill use their contracts too
