It was mentioned at the childminders network today that the government are changing the EYFS in Sept 2012 and its very likely to go back to birth to three, does anyone know if there is any truth in this?

I have also put a thread up about this as this is something i have heard similar about 2 sections 1 for 0-3 and 1 for 3-5 but unfortunately there is no confirmation yet so we have to wait and see.

:laughing: I pm'd sarah with another rumour a few days ago, i wish they would hurry up too, its hard to stay motivated with the paperwork when you know it could all change at the end of the year :panic:

Everything that I have read indicates that it isn't actually going to radically change, just be tweaked here and there, hopefully in the direction of less beurocracy!! I can't see it changing the requirements for record keeping much so I'm just carrying on with the happy system that I've devised! Not worth worrying about it for now!

i actually hope it doesnt change, its taken me this long to get to grips with this system and i actually feel like im doing it well now, i dont want to change again :)

Well they have already stopped schools doing the SEF so theres hope!
