Hi, baby started a couple of weeks ago and need to write down his starting points for the six areas of learning and development for the front of his learning journey. Don't have any problems when doing it for a toddler but really struggling with the babies! Any ideas anyone? Thanks:(

i would just put the basic's
eating
passing/throwing to and from
walking
talking/babbling
face exspresions
hand gestures
showing interest in people, items, animals
painting/drawing
hope that helps
personally i would not plan i would just observe and find out likes and dislikes and do unplanned observations untill i get to know mindee better.

Hi

Do you have a similiar list for a reception child who I have 3 days afterschool? This list looks really useful.

I usually use the practice guidance, the learning intentions and the look listen and note and pick things from there that I have seen. Then I add evidence, just a little note of how this was shown. Easy peasy!
