hello everyone!!!. I am booked on for a pre-reg regisration breifing session on the 16th march. I am currently working in a pre-school setting as a nuresy nurse. I am struggling with childcare arrangments for my youngest son whilst i am working, being a childminder would fit in with my family life much better. The thing is i am about to start my level 3 in children and young peoples workforce which my workplace is funding me for. If and when i am finally a childminder would i need to start childminding straight away? or could i stay working as a nursey assistant until my nvq level 3 is completed, Then leave to start childminding.

I wouldn't register if you want to continue working in a nursery, there's little value to going through the pre-registration process.

I would get the NVQ if that's what you want to do and then register.
