Evening all

I am just wondering if any one has any input that i may benefit from please - I am looking to go in partnership with another childminder in my area, although i want everything to be right for many reasons from the start.
The registered premises will be my home and the paperwork that will be used is mine also, now as you can all hopefully appreciate it is my insurance, my household bills and furniture plus a lot of other things, has anyone any ideas of how to basically go about starting off as partners on the right foot!!

Interview carefully, get a personal and a professional reference and have a solicitor draw up an agreement about money and sharing duties which you are both totally happy about.

Make sure you share the day's jobs - work to each of your strengths to benefit the children.

Have at least a weekly meeting so things do not fester.

Share training - one goes and feeds back, then the other, so you both benefit from continual professional development.

Talk to the tax office to make sure you are spot on with money in and out.
