Just found a great one - Tangrams. Google 'Tangrams' - they are a chinese puzzle - a square made up of various triangles and other shapes. They all fit together to make the square - when you separate them they are called "tan". You can use these shapes to make all sorts of pictures (download ideas from google too). Using red card against a black background etc makes a really striking wall decoration (great for parents to see!) Takes seconds to prepare and has kept mindees amused for ages today.

That's a good idea. :thumbsup: We had one in a Christmas cracker but didn't know it was a Chinese game!

We have a tangram puzzle board which we're going to try out next week :) Hopefully my lo's will like it as much as yours obviously did

Mmm,:idea: I have a light box and a drawer full of coloured plastic shapes, guess what my after schoolies will be playing with tomorrow. Nice link as our monthly "Theme"is COLOURS it ties in lovely with Chinese New Year too:thumbsup:
