I know this was discussed some time ago, but does anyone know if it has been changed back to being called Child Protection now as opposed to Safeguarding? I am in the process of checking/re-writing my policies and was wondering whether to change the title or not, also will it still be the Safeguarding Children Board and will the officers be Child Protection Officers or Safeguarding Officers?
I am confusing myself so can anyone help?
Thanks

It has changed to Child Protection. In our area now all the stuff has changed on the local web site to reflect this change. You really need to look at your own local area and see if they still refer to Safe Guarding or Child Protection. It should be on your county councils website.

It's still safeguarding here as far as anyone has told me.

HOWEVER I have put both titles at the top of my policy and procedure because I think both are relevant :D
