I am just doing my accounts and register and trying to decide as next week starts on the 31st Jan would you still place that week under January or would you put it under Feb.

Im having a mental block :panic:

if the 31st is a monday 'I' put it for the next month...so in this case it would be feb.

its totally up to you, preference i guess

Me too. I always put it in the month that the Monday is in.

Doesn't matter really as long as you put it somewhere;)

if you was doin your tax it would class from week beginning so if march 31st fell on a monday it would go in month of march not april...

Ooops may need to re-think mine then, cause I always do my monthly bills on the last Friday of the month, ie today!

It all depends if you account in weeks or months. I only do monthly accounting which does effectively mean that most mindees are paying a different amount each month although I know of some people who like to work on fixed weekly amounts. Each to their own

This is what I prefer too. I am a bit ocd and can't put a February date in a January invoice. :blush:
