I have been inspired by some of your weight loss diaries/threads into doing one for myself.

Week 1: 14st 7 lbs
Week 2: 14st 1lb -6 :clapping:
Week 3: 14st 1lb 0 :panic:

I had such a good weight loss the first week I suppose I can't expect much the second, although I have stuck rigidly to 1400 cals a day, so I am a little disappointed.

Have been walking 3 miles most evenings with my sister so I am getting enough exercise. Hope to get under the 14 st mark next Monday.

Good luck and stick at it, don't get disheartened when you have a week where you don't loose weight. My DH is using the Wii Fit he was 18st when he started and he has lost a stone in 4 weeks I am so proud of him, so stick at it and be confident:)

Thanks jelly

Ive had a bad weekend, Friday went to a party ie alcohol party food, sat had the hang over nibbles and had a take away curry and Sunday went out to dinner but did chose my food carefully. I am being extra strict all week as I'm out again saturday night

I'll be happy with 1 lbs but hoping for 2 lbs :jump for joy:

i read somewhere a while back that it is really common in week 3 not to lose. I didn't (well 1/2 pound) and it seems to be true in threads that I've read here and other places that most people don't lose that week as your body adjusts????

anyway you have lost loads so just be proud of yourself honey:clapping: :clapping:

I started WW nearly 2 weeks now, 2nd weigh-in on Friday. I lost 5lbs first week, so not sure what will happen this week. Running after kids all day and you'd think the weight would be dropping off in heaps...

Good Luck to all

My goodness am I dreading my weigh-in tomorrow...

I have had a really really bad week. Chinese friday evening, Party sat night so lots of wine and food, lovely big Sunday roast, Sunday evening raided the cupboards for junk food then Hubby bought home fish & chip supper last night & I've had 2 chocolate bars today :(

Need to get back on track....away in April with the girls for a Hen doo & really want to loose another 10 lbs

need some words of encouragement :panic: :panic: or just a gun to my head ever time I think of naughty foods

Well done ladies :)

I lost over 2st in the last year, but I am REALLY struggling now to keep focused and too scared to get back on the scales because I know it'll say in the last few weeks I have gained :ohdear:

I SO want to get rid of the last of it before the summer kicks in and especially before my 10th wedding Anniversary in September... but just can't stop myself from been naughty

But I think I'll brave those scales in the morning and start a fresh.

Wishing you all the best xx

what worked for me was to have a naugthy day each week on fri or sat usually. Otherwise I'd keep going for weeks then have a naughty few weeks but I was so determined this time.

Glad you didn't put any weight on Mary  .

Good on you Louise for getting back to it, thats what I should have done six years ago before I put back the five stone I lost back on :panic: .

You're right Juggler, it helps if you find the thing that keeps you sticking to it, with me at the momment it's saving 300 cals to eat right at the end of the day, I have to have something to look foward to each day, food wise

hon, it often evens out after a few weeks, especially if you are exercising and turning that fat to muscle. don't be disheartened. You know a good plan is to do measurements or use a fave pair of jean.

If they are getting looser or the tape measure's needign to be tightened then that's another way to tell.

Weeks' 3 and 4 are usually bad and I think after a big drop that often can happen in a cycle.

Don't worry about missing your weigh in, because as it was that time of the month you might have been retaining fluid, and next weigh in you will get a good weight loss.

Hope you have a great session in the gym tonight, and thanks for the replies it helps to know that I have buddies here, it is suprising how many people are trying to sabbotage my diet, now that my weight loss is becoming visually apparent

You must keep going the weight will move soon, espesially as you are working out too.

This week I have bought a DVD called 30 Day Shred,by Jillian Michaels, from Americas biggest loser programme. It takes less than 30 mins a day including warm up and cool down but it is really intensive. I have done level one for three days on the trot and I am aching all over, but in a good way  . Goning to stick it for 30 days to see if it works.

Feeling inspired by your success ladies - so here goes. Day 1. Will go and weigh myself once the schoolies have gone ( scary!). Have promised myself several times lately that I will start my diet and have failed spectacularly within the day. Feel a little more motivated today so wish me luck!

Good luck mama  Jelly is the ultimate dieter in my book, she really does well. I have really good weeks then go off track for a week and Jelly keeps me going.

I had a naughty weekend, dads bday Fri (out for an Indian meal) my friends 40th (party + food + alcohol "although only had 4 vodka & diet cokes from 6.45 till 1pm & drank just diet coke in between")
Out for dinner Sunday family get together  but did go for hour half walk after
I'm out tomorrow night for a friends birthday dinner
My birthday on Thursday so going out to dinner then too

But guess what.......I went clothes shopping on Saturday & bought 2 pairs of trousers......size 10 whoooooooooooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooo

Not done that for a few years :jump for joy:

I was just struggling to get into my size 12's and be comfortable then started to buy a few size 14's for myself when I started slimming world!!

So although I didn't have to loose loads I was struggling to loose it on my own, up down up down but only a few pounds...

I dare say some shops I will still need a size 12, I've set my new mini target to loose another 5 half lbs then like I've said previously I will weigh what I weighed on my wedding day :D

Im not a choccy person , Ive even given up sweets for lent. My huge downfall is bread , biscuits etc.
Ive not got a huge amount of weight to lose , a stone or so would make a big difference and take me down to 91/2 stone and a size 12. Ive got friends who weigh loads more than me , a couple of stone , yet are still slimmer than me. Mind at only 5 ft 2 every pound shows! and its all on my face and belly!!

I really need to find the willpower to do something , and soon! 3 months til i go on holiday should be enough time to see a real difference , but only if I can get going!!

have you tried taking a picture of yourself now then one with how you used to/want to look. Put one of each on all the foodie places in the house, fridge, cupboards etc, then you'll be forced to make the choice when you go to have a naughty snack.

I lost 1 1/2 last night , 8lb altogether and am now half way there ( to being within healthy range).

How much had you all lost before you , and other people started to notice a difference. I know 8lb isnt a huge amount but Id hoped my clothes would be a little looser by now! And Im sure the odd comment from people would really spur me on too!

Star week - lol! I used to get like that - having a "bad" day and thinking well I might as well be bad all week and start again next week. However, it quickly changed into quite a few weeks of this! Now I am trying hard to think of each time I put something in mouth for it to be a new opportunity! No more waiting til next week, or even waiting til the next day - the next meal/snack is my next opportunity. :) (although I probably won't be managing to say that in a couple of months time!)

The way I feel right now ( after a bowl of cereal ,2 biscuits, an orange , grapes , muller-rice....) is I could eat my way through the whole cupboard.

eveing ladies!

I weighted myself this morning and im still the same 10.7lb. I'm so cross/upset ive been so good this week, cut down caffine, eat more fruit n veg. Ive done my excerise video when the kids go to bed, and walk to/from pre-school, as well as circuit training and spining. dont know what else i can do.....
I was on a high last week as my fitness instrutor said i was doing well and running faster and for longer after three week of circuit training and id lost 3lb.

hon once you really up the exercise (especially things like circuits and spinning) you really will increase muscle mass but the fat will be converting to muscle - you just won't see it on the scales - so don't be too disheartened. You could try doing measurements instead or use a fave pair of jeans :D

hope you feel better soon hon. probably bloating from the bug. Don't worry til you are back to eating normal and then weigh.:)

I think that is one of the downfalls of a once a week weigh in (although I know that's what is best). I had a full on weekend (parents visit, fathers day etc) so indulged to my hearts content. Out of interest I weighed - had put on 4 lbs. After 1 day of eatign normally (yesterday) and by normally I mean healthy but loads, incl. chocolate in the evening - that 4lbs has dropped back off. I'm not advocating weighing daily I was just curious to see what happened but if your weigh in is after a week of meals out, when you couldn't exercise cos you were ill, etc, etc its not a true reflection.:)

Really struggling this week too , does anyone use any of the over the counter slimming aids / pills. Maybe some of the mild stimulant ones ( not sure which they are though! Might also give me a bit of missing get up and go!) I know theyre not great longer term but really want to get into a lovely dress for sils wedding ( 9th July).

i think they are dangerous hon. if you wanna do a quickfix for the wedding maybe try the shakes diet (I'm not a fan :( ) or seriously just ditch the carbs big time for a few weeks (no bread, pasta, peas, lentils, rice) eat loooooads of veggies with eggs, meat and fish and a bit of choccie to help you along so youre not totally deprived - it works. Then reintroduce them slowly.

good luck x

See Juggler I know youre right but getting desperate! Honestly dont think I'd last more than about a day on the shakes - and am already in danger of resembling a stirfry! I eat fish , chicken , veg and fruit atm - hardly any carbs apart from fruit ones , and its just getting over this plateau thats sooo frustrating!
tell you what though , it is making me very determined never to put the weight back on!

me either:laughing:  like my food too much - take my hat off to those who do it.

Watch for hidden carbs as well as the breads though hon, lentils, peas, beans, chick peas are a no-no and root vegetables are slightly more carby too so reduce them - go for the green leafy, tomatoes and peppers rather than the root veg and anything that is a bean or comes in a pod - though green beans are fine and so are avocados in moderation (good fats - yeay!). Eat apples when you are craving. Make sure you ditch breakfast cereal for a bit (fruit and/or meat/eggs for brekkie).

Also watch for reducing dairy or hidden dairys in salad dressing/foods with sauces and anything that has high fructose corn syrup on it and soups which are thickened with milk, cream, flour and potatoes.

It's a bit extreme as a way of life but for a short term, quick fix slash the lot. This way you can still eat loads.

Good luck. you can do it x

Total loss 14 1/2 lb.
The best bit for me is that I have lost every week since starting - only 1/2 some weeks but whenever I have dieted before it has been 1 step forward 2 steps back and a complete 'yoyo'. Its slow and frustrating but its working!! I might actually look ok at sils wedding ( next sat ) instead of like a sack of spuds!

I do hope it's just muscle weighing in as if what I have been eating + exercise puts weight on then someone for many years has been getting it wrong!!

Walked up Snowdon on Monday, weather was good so we had a stunning view from the highest point in all of Wales and England. Took a challenging path and we did it in good time (3 hours up and 3 back down). My body feels like it has had its hardest work out ever, but I would do it again tomorrow if I could.

Still stuck at the same weight, need to get serious about the diet again.

Bet you can't wait for your hols Mama where are you off to?

Sam , ive started doing everyone a seperate lunchbox , including myself , rather than one big picnic. It means I only pack up what Im happy to eat - often lots of fruit and crunchy veg ect , rather than picking at the things I know I shouldnt just because they are there!

Jelly - I bet youre so fit and toned though , *** the scales they dont matter really do they , just a number ! Ive lost weight but am still so unfit and even the wobbly bits have wobbly bits! Havent even managed to get to zumba for almost a month :( and theres you mountain climbing! ...Glad you had a great holiday though!

We go to Santa Ponsa in Majorca - do you know what Im looking forward to maybe being able to sit in the sun a little while without feeling like , and resembling a defrosting...( insert your own frozen product here!!) ( you wouldnt want the image in your head I was picturing!)

Hello!
I have had a hard few weeks, with my car been damaged, dealing with insurance, difficult parents for holiday care, mindee bumped head with swing (felt awful small bruise,) my son teething, passport application being sent back. arrgg

so I'm scared of weighting myself it will be bad i know. I'm an emotional eatter!

but on the plus side i had a lovely day yestaday at soft play with my children and little lo's with out the older holiday kids.We had a picnic on the field next to it, played football, Frisbee etc. I received some lovely comments from other parents saying how good I was with the children and how good the children were too! (she even brought me a coffee out to keep me going!!!!)
I also had visits from two new parents and children that start in September and sorted the paper work out!

spinning and circuit training tonight! Diet start again today1 four weeks till the christening and counting!

Jelly glad you had a lovely up your mountain!:D
well done mama2three for your loss!

I started in may after months of the usual ' diet starts on monday...' spiel , all my dieting has been over the summer months really.
Ive been attempting to be good about 4 days out of 7 and eat what i like ( within reason) on the other days. Seems to be working so far .
I guess Im still slightly stunned that Ive actually managed to lose what I wanted to this time and now happily sit around 9 stone ( only 5'1'') - but the original buzz of losing each week , coupled with the drifting off of all those lovely comments you get , and the waining support at home - I worry my willpower will go into hibernation!
Nice to be able to voice this on here so thanks for listening! Cant really talk about it at home as dh thinks Im obsessed and Im sure friends will think im fishing for compliments iyswim.

listen hon, 2lbs is nothing. seriously I go up and down by at least 2 or 3 pounds each week depending on nights out, weekend functions etc. as long as you keep it within 4-5 lbs and if it hits that - take action - go back to 100% strict.

See what it says and think well I'm only xx over. I managed to lose tons of weight this way so I can shift these few pounds easily

Completely agree with Juggler - whats 2lb when you lost so much! i havent got my eating properly under control since returning from holiday either - and that was weeks ago now! Im still manageing to stay at around goal - but a pound or 2 either side and Im happy and just adapt a bit the next week.

Thanks ladies......  I didnt go last week, very bad I know but I have spoke to the lady who runs the classes & even she said finish this week & start a fresh THIS wednesday.

I am gonna go in as if it's my first weigh-in and be good from now on. I even made 2 slimming world meals yesterday & froze them ready for during the week. I need to think XMAS = little black dress ;) hopefully this will help me

I've not managed to get on much of late, just wondered how you are all doing, in general not just weight wise :)

Stayed pretty much the same weight too - Im sure all that will change with xmas looming! Must admit its been nice to wear dresses on the couple of occasions Ive been out without feeling like the fat frump in the corner!!

oh no! hope you are ok jelly. how's it going for you. I have an operational and painless, but seriously ugly looking ankle, running to zumba in the dark and fell of the edge of a pavement.

I am celebrating. just gone past 1 year of maintaining my ideal weight. took me 10 years to get there but have kept it off for a year, no hassles, no willpower, just lovely, healthy food and lots of it (which i love) and wine and chocs to boot. I absolutely adore the day I discovered gym junkies :D

I'm good thanks (apart from this silly tickly cough & sore throat)....

Well weight wise Ive put on around 5-6 lbs from my goal weight but I can cope with that. I'm finding it extremely hard now the weather is rubbish, but I'm gonna see Xmas through in style & start afresh in Jan....
With not as much to loose this time around I'm hoping it wont be so hard going.

Merry Christmas to all the "fat fighting club" :D
