Health & Safety Policy?

Do I need a Health & Safety Policy? I do have one but just wondering if it is necessary, as it just lists all the precautions I will take to keep the children safe whilst in my care - This is what my RA's do :rolleyes:

Surely if my Risk Assessments are comprehensive enough (and I get parents to sign to say they have read RA's) then I don't need a H&S Policy?

Just trying to cut down on having un-necessary paperwork around and not having paperwork for paperworks sake, iyswim.

In the absence of any answers :crying: I am forging ahead with a Heath & Safety Policy.

However, I just seem to reapeating what I've already stated in my RA's :( or am I totally misunderstanding what a Health & Safety Policy should be? :o
