Hi,

I am a newly registered childminder and have been busy with my paperwork and am just wondering whether I have missed anything.

I have done the following:
numerous policies & procedures - too many to mention (think I have those covered!!!)
child information form
emergancy evacuation procedure
parental permission forms
risk assessment forms for each room in house & garden
risk assessment forms for outings
daily risk assessment checklist
form to record child observations
daily diary
visitors book
childminding register
expenses book
my porfolio - to show prospective parents info about me
welcome pack - to give on 1st visit
information pack - to give when services agreed

I also have the following:
contracts
accident/incident & medication book
accounts book

Any further ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received!

Many thanks

When children start you will need a Fire Drill Log and Complaints Log.

I also have a Policy/Procedure Tick List for parents to tick and sign to say they have read and agree to them.

Daily Routine
Healthy Eating and a Sample menu
Fees and Availability
EYFS summary for parents.

I give a copy to parents when they first come to visit.

Sorry, just re-read your question - I don't have a Welcome Pack so would be interested in reply.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions. I have done a fire drill log but don't have a complaints log. What do you record on yours?

Nicole

I have put a table at the bottom of each one for the parent to sign and date as well as myself. Do you think this is too much for the parent to sign each one? Just want to cover myself as best as i can!!!
