A bit confused....

Hi everyone

I have started to write my policy's and procedures ready for my pre-reg visit, do I have to have copies for each parent? Or do I just have a master copy and make it available upon request?

Also I think I may have gone a bit type-happy, I have 47 policy's for various things, do I really need this many or do OFSTED have certain ones they have to see?

1 last question, when you plan you activities do you put all of it in a large folder and do it month by month or is there another way?

All my parents have their own copy of my policies, and I also keep a copy. The only ones you NEED are the ones relevant to the EYFS statutory booklet, eg complaints
With planning, I have a sheet for each month detailing the weeks and the overall theme (eg January - winter) and some activities. This will then change slightly as the planning is based around the childrens learning & interests.

There are statutory policies and procedures which you must share with parents.

Others are your choice... I have a booklet with all mine inside, plus a short version booklet that I give to parents.

The main ones are then offered on a CD or paper format.
