Hi !

I have a mum who wants to place her little boy with me, which is great. The little boy has excema which sometimes will need me to put cream on it. How do I go about this from a paperwork point of view? I'm a bit confused.
Thanx in advance!

mum will need to sign a permission slip with the little boys name and dob that says she gives permission for you to apply the cream. The cream will also need to be labelled with instructions on how to apply if prescribed. Hope this helps. xx

I'd also keep a log of how often you are applying the cream. Does mum know if there is something that triggers the excema? eg a certain washing powder, particular food? Just thinking you may need adjust things within your setting.

I know of a little girl with excema that is made worse by a particular wash powder. Her whole family aviod using this brand so that her excema is not made worse. They found that if she snuggled up with Grandma on the sofa the excema flared up, so even Grandma changed brands.:)
