My poor Nan has been poorly for a while with numerous things. Yesterday we were told her kidneys are now only funtioning 8 - 9%. She needs dialisis (sp) but can't due to other complications. We have been told to take it one day at a time but we arnt talking along time :( The doctors actually said they are surprised she is still going with all that is wrong!! She has refused to go into hospital as she hates the place. She has carers coming in the daytime and my mum is covering the evenings. I just feel so helpless. I also find it hard to get over there with the icey roads. We are hopefully visiting her tomorrow. I dont know if its sad or a comfort that she says she is ready to go. But I am going to be praying its as painless as possible.

Sorry think I am whittering on now x

Sending hugs to you and your family, my Dad was very ill for a long time and we were more or less hoping he would just close his eyes and go peacefully. He did on Boxing Day when Mum and me were there with him. He was 83 and there was nothing to be done for him so it was a relief when he went. But so terribly sad too.

Lots of love to you. x

My dad was ready to go and relieved when he went.

Sometimes when your body wears out you just want an end to feeling so very poorly all the time.

I will keep your nan in my prayers xx
