I have, in my usual list of permissions, a permission to leave children for a short period of time, with a registered/known person. Parents were happy to sign.

Does this cover me if I do a short training session (1 1/2 hrs) and they are in a creche with a known worker (the woman runs one of the CM groups) and my Network co-ordinator?

Ta muchly for thoughts

You need to have named people on your permissions and any person needs to be cleared by Ofsted and I believe classed as an assistant, be on your certificate as an assistant etc

I would call Ofsted and get it from them

Thanks Debbie - that makes sense. Will give them a call and check.

When I had Ofsted, she was happy with my permissions and I explained that what I currently have, was meant for playgroups with other minders. So basically, I could go to the loo and not drag them all with me

But that was just for very brief periods of time
