What a flippin' day!!

It's my DD's 4th birthday party tomorrow - we have about a foot of snow which is now turning to ice!! I got a call from the parish council who I've rented a hall from to confirm that I still needed it. I started to ice my DD's cake (she's mad on Buzz Lightyear :eek: ) whilst waiting for my Tesco delivery to come. The time slot came and went - so I called the customer service number to be told they weren't coming...but they didn't call me to tell me :mad: I wasn't so cross about the cancellation - more that they didn't have the courtesy to call.

Then my DH's appt for his blood donation session had to be moved as it was too dangerous to get to the orignal venue so we all went out to a mobile unit so he could still donate (I think my DH is a superhero!) Then we popped to Tesco to get supplies for the party and managed to just about get everything we needed, queued for 40 mins to pay - before driving home in freezing fog:eek:

I have finally finished icing the cake I started at 9am today - my little DD says I'm the best Mummy in the world :D :littleangel: My back is totally sh@gged :(

PLEASE can tomorrow go smoothly - I can't deal with any more drama lol!!

Tell me about it :( Her actual birthday is the 14th so holding onto her as a three year old for a bit longer! This time next year she will be at school :(

I've texted all the playschool mummies to confirm the party is still on and all the littles are looking forward to it - all 20 of them :eek: :eek: :eek:

Thanks everyone. Despite the weather and Tesco's best efforts the party was a success!! Was utterly manic in the run up and I am completely exhausted but my little DD said it was the best party and I was the best mummy and I made the best cakes :D :D :D So it was worth it.
