A colleague of dh arrived at school this morning having had a bump in the back of her car. When the incident occured she and the man who hit her got out of their cars, she thought to exchange details.

He came up to her saying 'It was an act of God'! He kept repeating this and wouldn't give his details until she rang the Police and they told him to give her his insurance details. Have you ever heard anything like this before?

It did make us laugh though.

Do you think he thought the snow was the act of God?

I'm sure it stems from insurance companies not paying out for 'Acts of God' such as earthquakes or things being cancelled due to snow etc.

He probably thought as they can use this excuse not to pay out , he could too !

Maybe the snow is an act of God, but no one made the man go out in his car did they! I'm sure God would have told the man to leave his car at home:laughing:

talk about self-preservation - do you think he's got a big insurance excess or something?? nice that he had any concern for the woman he hit!
