Morton Michel are an insurance company - you buy your childminding (and other related childcare) insurance from them.

You then get lots of extra goodies in with the cost -

NCMA are the voice of childminders... you join them and then you can buy insurance from an associated company.

They also have lots of incentives to encourage people to join -

I hope this helps :D

Good explanation from Sarah

I think of NCMA as a bit like my 'union'- they ask my opinion through questionaries and in person at forums. AGM's etc. and they lobby government and others to let them know the opinions of their members.

The difference in price is the cost of NCMA membership

Personally I use both

NCMA for public liablity and membership and house insurance
Morton Mitchel for car insurance
