Just been announced and it's going to be a public holiday :clapping:
May Day Bank Holiday is on the Monday so it will be a 4 day weekend!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

What a cop out that date is in our school Easter holidays anyway they don't go back to school until the Tuedaday after the 1st May Bank Holiday:eek:

Poor teachers won't get an extra day off - that won't go down well!

My lot go back on the tues 26th hardly worth going back for 3 days then get 4 days off. I have had to check my part time contracts as I know I started putting in I wont work bank hols but luckily that will only mean I loose one days wage so not to bad.

Mine go back on Tues 26th too.
Not going to be earning much in April - 3 bank holidays in one month!
(plus I'm taking 5 days off)
Oh well, at least we'll get a nice long weekend! - now, where to go in the caravan?!!

I've just worked it out and round here the kids will be at school for a total of 9 days in April :eek: Hardly seems worth it!
The two nice long weekends in a row will be nice though :thumbsup:

As I only work term time I told my new parents I was not gonna charge for bank hols (as all but one fall in school holidays anyway). Typically I have both sets on a Friday.
That will teach me :rolleyes:

Our school will be only open for 9 days in April as well, a quiet month for me then I dont take schoolies when the schools are off :clapping:

As soon as they announced the engagement I told dh I wouldnt work the wedding day bank holiday or no bank holiday:blush:
And now I'm really excited cos its dds birthday on 3rd May and I'd already said I would take that day off ... so now I get a lovely long weekend playing weddings!!!
I've checked my diary and our schools go back on the 26th so it will be an extra days holiday here :clapping: (Well probably not for me!)

Its my little brothers 40th birthday on 29th April - told him he always thought he was special and now they have organised a Bank Holiday cause its his birthday :laughing: Only 1 mindee on a Friday, but should be off as my contract states I don't work Bank Holidays even if they usually are on a Monday - so expecting to get day off as mindees dad doesn't work bh either!!
