Iv been asked to add to my inclusion policy how i would support a child who has an unidentified specific need.Im not sure what to put,can anyone help?

That sounds a bit odd.

Surely if a child has a specific need then someone would have identified it first to know it was specific?? :huh:

Anyhow you support all children through your obs, assessments and individual planning, working with the guidance document of the Eyfs to ensure you meet their needs.

You also work closely with parents and others involved in the child's life to improve outcomes for all children.

You are therefore supporting all children, including those with needs.

maybe it means what you would do to support a child that you or parents are concerned about i.e. might have a specific need. You could address this by saying that you would keep a record of concerns/observe the child to gather evidence and then support parents to approach approppriate professional and obtain information from support agencies if anything is identified. Can you ask whoever asked you to do this for clarification??
