Help Please DHC Unit 4 B

I am doing 2 units at once this term so that I will have completed the DHC by Xmas!!!!

However having a mind block with B of unit 4 .

For B - benefits of home based care - have listed all the benefits to child and family but don't know what else to write any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you added benefits to yourself and your own family?

The guidance says "A detailed consideration of ways home-based care benefits children and their families. This may include: parents needs/preferences, government initiatives, social policies concerning paid parental leave, age and stage appropriate environment, emotional and educational care/provision, enabling children to play, grow and learn, recent
research etc"

I am working on Unit 4 at the moment and for this I may copy most of what I wrote for E1 in Unit 3, but add more waffle, and add loads more about the EYFS, the way CMs are now professionals, same opportunities as in preschools but in less intimidating setting for more sensitive children, continuity of care (ie no staff turnover so key worker always there in CM setting which is not case in nursery), schemes like the one we have called Marvellous Minders which gives respite care for parents going through difficulties, children with disabilities etc, socialising with mixed age groups (see issueJune/July 2009 of Who Minds, article by Penelope Leach), and then you can bring in scaffolding, ZPD etc. I would need to work on the other bits about govt initiatives etc as the questions are so old and all the work sheets we get are from 2006 so that would need a bit or research.

Thanks so much Jensarah it really helps. I've done a bit now on B and a little on A. I think I better get some done on Unit 3 now - the other one I am doing!
