Claiming expenses for food?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site, still in the process of registering!!

I will probably have millions of questions to ask in the next few weeks so please be patient as I may appear to be extremely thick!!

I am planning to charge parents extra for breakfast (£1.00) and Lunch (£1.50) - does this mean that I can't claim the cost of food and drink back as expenses. I think I have read this somewhere but just need to clarify!

Hi! No you can still claim the cost of food as expenses, you just have to put what you charge parents into your income.

Yes, Kelly's right... you put what you are charging in income and what you have spent on food / drinks in expenses... :D
