What would you charge?

I don't include school run/ pre school run in my fee and the Mum of a little one I look after has asked me to take on her 3 year old - picking up from preschool at 12.15 each day. I don't feel able to charge them for the whole day space even though she is only coming to me for 3 hours, but I do want to add on a fee for collecting her from preschool.

What would you charge? Bearing in mind I load my DD and the LO into the car and drive 2 mile there and 2 miles back each day?

It depends how much you would usually charge per hour

I would add a little extra for the journey / fuel

I have a similar situation where I pick up a child from pre-school at 11.30 each day. I charge from 11.00 as I have to go & get the child. If they were being brought to me, I would charge from 11.30. I feel it is only fair to charge for the time I spend in collecting the child.
Similarly I charge from 3pm for school pick up even though school doesn't finish until 3.30, again this is because of the time it takes me to walk to school.
Don't feel bad about charging for your time :)

I would charge an extra hour for the petrol cost and your time/ hassle.
