Hello, I want to design a leaflet that I can hand out or use as advertising my childcare services but only ever used Word and open office which I'm finding are very basic. I want it to look professional but can't really afford to go the full hog and pay for a company to do them. Can anyone help with ideas ????

Thanks

Michelle

I used Microsoft Publisher and found it was very good. I did a 3-fold from an A4 page printed on both sides which makes a nice sized leaflet and looks "smart". MS Publisher has a lot of ready-made templates to help - some of them are probably a bit too business-like for a Childminder but there is a big choice.

I also use it for posters and banners - it has the feature where you can make a banner that is is four or five feet long by printing different sections of the text on each page automatically - great for a birthday party or similar.

Have a look at Vistaprint web site they do loads of good stuff, often you can get bits free. Once you have ordered something you get offers for more stuff at discount prices.

I started of with free business cards, just paid postage
Then you get weekly emails offering you other free stuff or discounts. Just wait till they offer you something you want. This week I've been offered two free calenders using my own photo's, so thats grandparents Christmas gift.
