Hi, i have been thinking of becoming a childminder for a while now but i am only 21 (22 in a month) and not sure if parents would be comfortable leaving there children with me being so young. I do already have a child but don't no if that would make any difference.

Theres only one way to find out!!

I wouldnt be put off by a young person childminding my child - in fact people may see it as a positive that you are young and energetic and full of fun ideas etc.

Lots of people have nannies who tend to be youngish so i think you will be fine.

I would just get on with it - do you have experience working with children before you had your own child?
I had the same feelings as you when i started and I was 33 with two children!!!!!! - I wondered if anyone would be happy for me to care for their children just because I had my own.
Just be yourself and be as professional as you can and I am sure that things will be fine. You have everyone on here to lean on for advice too:thumbsup:
