Does anyone know the answer to this. I'm doing my NVQ 3 atm and my tutor has said that if I do the CP units as extra credit I will have a level 3 qualification in CP and therefore I won't have to renew it like if I was just doing the CP course run by our local council. Not sure this sounds right to me as I thought we needed to renew every 3 years.

Can anyone help?

It is recommended to renew every 3 years but not a requirement (from ofsted).

Some LAs require it as part of accreditation.

I have no idea about your course though, I would ask the qualifying body :D
