How much do you give your mindees roughly a day...?
What with it being the holidays, I'm having the older ones constantly saying 'I'm hungry - what can I have?' I can't afford to keep giving them things all day - they don't get it at school, so they don't need it.
Currently they'll have a fruit bar, breadsticks or fruit mid morning ish (what they'd get at morning break). Then Sandwiches, cheese or chedders, & a yoghurt for lunch. Another snack during the afternoon, one of what's from mid morning, then tea at 5pm, if they're here. If not, they don't get anything else otherwise the ones that are having tea want it, and I have chaos.
Some days there's other things if we've made something, they can have it too, but I don't make food things with them every day.
It's the same as school days, one snack after school before tea, fruit or fruit bar. Sometimes I might give in & give them something else if I'm getting really stressed!
Am I being really mean? Or are the kids just saying it...?
