Do you charge the same for under 5's and after schoolies, or if not what are your fees like?

I know I have read on here that some people charge less for after schoolies. Is this due to it being more "relaxed" work since it is not EYFS, or because the older children don't have the same needs as the younger?

Thank you!

im £5 per hour before 8am
£3.20 per hour from 8-6pm
after schoolies only £12 set fee no later than 6pm parental pickup....i dont mind if they use the full 3 hours so slightly more at £4 per hour really

im only registered for 8yrs and under through choice, so not going to make much on after schoolies anyway as can only have 3 max so think my charges are fair to me and parents

i charge the same through the holidays but term time i charge £5 per hour due to all the running around, early mornings and short time they are here with me! at the moment i only work until 4.30 (parents choice not mine)so even though its a higher rate they dont have to pay too much

I charge the same hourly rate of £3.20 for everyone (between 8.00am and 6.00pm - anything outside of these hours is time and a half).

I also have a minimum charge of 2 hours per day.

That is so interesting, I might have misunderstood what I read on here when I thought after schoolies were "cheaper". Thank you for your replies, it's so helpful to get a picture of what people are doing.

I am very cheap!!

I charge £8.00 for 3.15 til 6pm and £25.00 8am-6pm in hols

The reason I am this cheap is because I ONLY look after schoolies, so I see my competition as being after school clubs and holiday clubs, not other childminders. I have matched after school club prices, but could never match holiday clubs that charge as little as £13.00 for a full day around here!!!

I charge more for school age children as they involve more running about and time constrictions. Only 50p per hour fee difference from others though

I charge £3.50 per hour no matter what age as they all have different needs, I know we don't have to do EYFS paperwork with older ones but they need more resources (craft) and need more planning in my opinion as want to do more.

Moonkins- I know u said it was a choice thing about after schoolies but we are all registered for under 8's we are allowed to have over 8's as long as it doesn't impact on the care of the under 8's
