I've just signed up a 7 yr old boy for 3 nights after school care (2 hours each time). Can anyone recommend some activities for me to have available for him, as I have not had boys of this age before. He was quite chatty when we met, but mainly talked about x-box and star wars.
I am happy to get some new "toys" but not sure what to get.
What does anyone else do with boys this age? His Mum seems ok with him just watching tv.

Hi scallywag - I look after 4 primary school age boys and they all love Lego!! They spend hours building complex models - hope that helps!:)

My son is 7 and he likes Lego, drawing, crafting, watching TV, reading and just playing with whatever the others are playing with. We have a big box of cars and a carmat and thats always popular

My after schoolies are usually ready to chill out or like to run around in the garden

Thanks for the ideas, I had completly forgotten about LEGO. I've got loads of the stuff, but it was hidden out of the way.:)
