hello
sorry if i am not in the ggod place
i have a little pbm and i would like to know if someboby can help me
my pbm is in febuary i done the fisrt breffing for the childminding
and this week my husband had an appointement for a transfert job in scotland and my question is have i need to cancel my pre-registretion here and start and another one in scotland or the headoffice can transfert my pre-registration?
for the moment i have not my DHC1 my appointement for that is in june

Scotland and England have very different rules ... if you move, you will have to re-register.

You need to talk to SCMA and get some advice.. here's their website... :D

Hiya,

Scotlands rules are totallt different so you would have to re-register when you move up here so might be worth while hanging on just now to see what happens with hubby.

Hi Marie, hello from sunny Scotland ( not!)

The ladies above are right, Scotland's system is different, a different regulating body ( the care Commission) and also the process is different. You cannot childmind in Scotland unless you are registered by them, even if you could get your registration done in England before you moved - so I would stop your whole process in England, no point doing it.

Whereabouts are you moving to in Scotland?

Yep agree you should wait!

I was first reg in scotland but then moved to england due to hubby job also, so I had to start from scratch and got very confused in the process:p
