Hi all, I have alot of new kids just started ,nearly all my others have moved on to high school etc (feeling old lol) so i have decided that this months theme will be me and my family. I want to make little people with scrap material for the clothes (kids to stick on) but have no idea where i could buy the material. I my head i thought i would be able to but material squares or scraps from some where but struggling to find anywhere that sells them. So does anyone have any ideas?

Thank You

e-bay for a bag of scraps or freegle, or a market stall often have offcuts of nice fabrics.... I just got lots of silky sparkly and netted ones from the rag market in brum,

Do you have a local freecycle/freegle group? You could try them :)

Our local market has a couple of material stalls that sell bags of remnants for £1 a bag.

When we made peg dolls I asked the parents if they had any scraps we could use. 3 out of 4 ignored me but one came in with a lovely bag of material, wool and ribbons, bless her, plenty enough for the peg dolls and other crafty things too......

We have scrap stores down here in Devon as well which are fantastic for these sort of things! Its worth contacting your local childcare team and asking if there is a similar thing near to you xx

How about jumble sales. You can get clothes from as little as 20p. They may not be what you'd like to wear but you can just choose the ones with nice material.
Don't forget to cut the buttons off too for another art project.
