I handed one of my cards into my local doctors surgery, they weren't sure if they could display it or not but yesterday we had a call from the printing company that does the surgerys appointment cards. The cards have adverts all over and they wanted to know if I'd like to advertise on there.
At first the cost was £350 for two years advertising on the cards, this was way too much, they then said they'd do it for £300 for the two years, still too much!
Today I got my wife on the case....they have agreed to do one years advertising for £150+VAT and spread the payments out, so think it was quite a good idea to haggle. Didn't want 2 years as I hope to be established by then.
So in a few weeks time everyone that goes into the doctors surgery and gets an appointment card will see my ad.
Fingers crossed it will do the trick!
