When do you inform Inland Revenue?

Hi,

I'm a newbie and I'm due to start childminding two lovely girls in Sept. I'm just wondering when's best to inform Inland Revenue that I'm self-employed. I know the deadline is 3 months from when you are working.
Does anyone know when is best?

im not sure what is best but i just had my first mindee start last thursday and i registered as self employed a couple of days before she started, i did it online which was really simple to do. hth.

I would have thought you should register when you start working as self employed.
