Assessments ... What kind do you do?

I am just wondering what kind of assessments you do on your children?

I use an A4 sheet with the arrows and use it as a general overview every 6 months .... But I feel it is not being used to its fukll potential.

I was wondering what ways you use, what kind of sheets and what information you put into them?

Although what I use works, I just need a little inspiration to make it betteras seems a little repetitive.

Do you mean like summary assessments after a few months?

I mostly just write what they have done and achieved and some ideas for where they might go next.

I do a little bit for each area of learning and development.

a local childminder was inspected recently and the inspector advised her to make something like an 'I Can' list for each child.

I do that sometimes too :D
