i usually just say 'in line with other childminders in my area fees will rise to....'
'....as documented in my policy and procedure booklet it will take place on 1st September'

Please find enclosed a sheet detailing my new hourly rates which will take effect from 00/00/2010

This is my first increase in x years and my new rates reflect the prices of other childminders in the local area."

..............this is what I put in mine :)

I usually put

"With effect from (date) my charges will increase as follows .................."

I don't make any reference to other childminders or to how long it is since I put the fees up.
