has anyone used NCMA to claim monies owed

I have received a pack from NCMA solicitors about claiming owed monies but when I read through it it almost feels very scary. It seems to say that if the parent that signed the contract hasnt got a job then theres not much chance of getting your money and also if you send the 14 day letter and then they send the solicitors letter if they dont get a response they dont act on it. The charges are also quite high if you have to pay for help.

Just wondered if anyone has used them and if things worked out okay Thanks
