Hi everyone,

This may seem like a silly question, but I'm a bit unsure of whether this can be classed as an ob.

I have little wooden boxes that my sons use to stand on and look out of the window(I have low windows and it's perfectly safe) The little girl (17 months) who I have has just managed to climb on one herself :) I have read on here somewhere that if it's a 'wow' moment to record it.

I did sit there and say " Wow xx, you did that all by yourself" :)

yes thats an obs:thumbsup:
its something they haven't done before and its an achievement.
you would think link it to EYFS - probably mainly PD and the relevent dev matters statement
and then you would put in next steps - ie you will put out low level things that X can climb on, assist her in climbing steps/stairs etc, encourage to use the toddler slide

and then in a few months you could perhaps revisit this obs by then showing her climbing independently and well.

(although you don't have to do next steps and link to EYFS for a wow moment....)

Anything that makes you think 'wow' should be shared with the parents... and waht better way of doing that then as a wow moment observation?

I'd put the words in a big star or draw a smiley face too :D
